My Process & Philosophy

“I love to draw detailed faces. To me, every face tells an intriguing story—regardless of age, gender, background, or walk of life.”

My process is one of patience and discovery. When I put pencil to paper, I work in deliberate stages. This is a method I’ve used since childhood: I visually dissect facial features, studying each line and shadow carefully before reassembling them like pieces of a complex puzzle. This meticulous approach allows me to fully understand the depth of human expression and find beauty in the lengthy journey of every portrait.

Biography

From his earliest years, Timothy Agozie has been deeply attuned to the world of creative expression. At just six years old, he discovered the transformative power of a simple pencil—a tool that quickly evolved from a childhood curiosity into a lifelong companion and professional vocation.

His fascination with portraiture grew in tandem with a natural emotional sensitivity, shaping an artistic style defined by keen observation and a profound appreciation for the human experience. This foundation was formalized in 2014, when Timothy earned his diploma in Visual and Fine Arts from East Bank Senior High School.

Driven by a relentless work ethic, Timothy spent the following three years producing an extraordinary portfolio of over 1,000 original drawings, many of which have been featured in public exhibitions. Today, he continues to explore his gift with unwavering passion and purpose. As an artist, creator, and educator, Timothy is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of realism and inspiring others through his mastery of the craft.
